What Media Results Can a Client Expect in a Year's Time?

Dear RecipientFirstName,

In December of 2005, I made a rather bold request of my ezine subscribers, project clients, and referral partners.  I asked for one of them to step up to become one of our agency’s annual retainer clients and engage us to the highest level of our passion and capabilities.

Alice Cunningham, co-owner of Olympic Hot Tub Company, called me a few days later and said, “Is there still room for me to be one of your  clients?”  She said she wanted to sign-up.  She also quipped that perhaps she should call back in a few minutes to allow me time to recover from my surprise.  We both had a good laugh over that, and we started working together in January of 2006.  Since then, Alice and her company have enjoyed prominent and favorable coverage in the media.  The coverage has supported a very strong year of retail sales, estimated to reach $10 million by year-end.

As a Puget Sound retailer, Alice wanted to capture headlines that would tell her 29-year business success story.  She wanted media coverage and speaking engagements that would demonstrate her winning ways as a business owner, customer service provider, and mentor to others, while bringing credibility and support to retail sales at her five stores throughout the region.  Marketing dollars were redeployed from yellow page advertising to public relations for 2006 to achieve these objectives.

The good news is that Olympic Hot Tub Company is projected to close 2006 with the highest retail sales in its 29 year history.  The public relations effort has been supportive of the company’s advertising, direct sales, and Web initiatives.  The picture that has been painted by the editorial coverage has been consistently positive, and business performance is mirroring that pattern.

Alice has this to say about the public relations effort so far:

"How do I describe Nancy Juetten? She's got energy, spirit, creativity, media savvy and more sheer perseverance than anyone I've ever met.  When Nancy believes in you, you've got a powerful ally. Under her guidance, Olympic Hot Tub Company has had more great press in 2006 than in the past five years.  I've been amazed by the response of our customers new and old. Our credibility has been further cemented by all of the great press. And, our employees feel proud to work for a company that has attracted so much attention. What's the added benefit of all of the media coverage that Nancy has been able to get for us? Other reporters have seen it and called me directly.  In other words, the more you get, the more you get. If you want to shine a searchlight on your business and get results you never expected, call Nancy today!"

So often potential clients wonder what kinds of results they can expect from our collaborative work together and how often results will flow to their business and reputation-building benefit.  The summary to follow demonstrates some of the highlights from our work with Olympic Hot Tub Company so far this year.  If you’d like a similar pattern of favorable coverage for your growing company in 2007, get in touch at nancy@nsjmktg.com or give me a call at 206-447-8501 ext 1. We have room for one more annual retainer client, and we can’t wait to hear from you.

And, if you are still wondering about what holiday gift to share with your family this season, consider a hot tub from Olympic Hot Tub Company.  Visit www.olympichottub.com to locate the retail showroom nearest you.
